The heart of Kim’s new toy is a ferocious Ford Performance 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine kicking out an incredible 460 horsepower. Back in 1973, you would be lucky to get a fraction of that power from the factory’s modest inline-six or old-school V8.
Velocity’s master builders paired this beast of an engine with a silky-smooth automatic transmission. It is heavily inspired by their signature 1973 green Ranger Package Bronco, which utilizes a Gen IV Coyote V8 and a 10-speed automatic transmission. This means Kim gets that roaring, throat-clearing V8 exhaust sound we all crave, but without any of the headache.
