Parks-themed retailer LoveMplsParks celebrates first year

Founder Dan Woychick launched the online parks-themed apparel retailer last December and has since raised $1,400 for parks. contributes 50 percent of its profits to local nonprofit People for Parks, which cooperates with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board on projects and events.

The retailer, which is not affiliated with the Park Board, sells T-shirts with designs featuring the city’s most popular and iconic parks. Its product line has expanded to include sweatshirts, youth T-shirts and long-sleeve shirts.
