Bader Development is proposing 150 apartment units and 10,000 square feet of ground-floor office space where France Avenue dead-ends at Highway 7, located in St. Louis Park off the border with Minneapolis.
The 2.23 acre site is currently home to two single-family houses, a multifamily building, the ASAP Printing building and the Battlefield Books & Memorabilia Store at 3907 and 3915 Highway 7; 3031 Glenhurst Ave.; and 3914 and 3918 W. 31st St. The developer is asking St. Louis Park to vacate the alley on the site.
The new building would stand five stories at County Road 25 (Highway 7) and three stories at West 31st Street. The project includes 285 parking spaces, more than required, with underground and surface parking.
The St. Louis Park Planning Commission recommended an amendment of the city’s comprehensive plan land use map in early January. The change would allow the developer to combine the land parcels and request rezoning for the project.
