Cowboy Slim’s is back in Uptown on a prime corner, serving bottomless Bloody Marys on weekend mornings and daily $2 happy hour specials.
Some of the original Slim’s bartenders are back at “Cowboy Slim’s on steroids.” There isn’t a mechanical bull here, but the venue offers a rooftop patio that covers 6,500 square feet and a third-level patio with a craft beer bar.
Staff highlighted the “Under 550 Calorie” menu, along with the pulled pork burrito, tater tot hotdish, and apple fritter french toast served on weekends.
Happy hour runs from 3-6 p.m. daily and 10 p.m.-midnight Sunday thru Thursday, featuring $2 select beers, $4 house wine and half-price apps and flatbreads. The restaurant serves $2 burgers every Wednesday until 10 p.m.
A shuttle will run between Cowboy Slim’s and Lake Calhoun March 5 for the annual Polar Plunge, which is a fundraiser for the Special Olympics.
Cowboy Slim’s originally operated at 1320 W. Lake St., and it was demolished to make way for The Walkway luxury apartments.
“We are very excited to be back in Uptown,” said Jesi Konen, vice president of marketing for The After Midnight Group.
