More than 40 heavy boxing bags are headed to a new retail building slated for construction at 55th & Lyndale.
TITLE Boxing Club classes are based on boxing and kickboxing workouts, but people aren’t actually hitting each other. Workouts include high-energy calisthenics, shadow boxing and several rounds of hitting 100-pound bags.
“You win every time,” said Steven Coopersmith, franchisee owner and operator.
He said the act of punching works well as a stress-reducer.
“It might be the most stress-relieving thing you’ve ever done,” he said. “As long as you’re pushing it, you’re going to burn a ton of calories. It’s all about your core.”
The franchise includes six other Minnesota locations, including one in Edina.
Title Boxing Club anticipates a fall opening date, following construction on the former Borton Volvo lot.
