Hennepin Theatre Trust’s Made Here project unveiling new artist market

Hennepin Theatre Trust’s Made Here project is launching a new summer market in the Loring Corners Alley, 1612 Harmon Place, featuring crafts made by Minnesota artists.

The market will be open 11 a.m.–6 p.m. on Sundays, July 19–Aug. 30. Up to 35 vendors — selected from an open call for artists — will participate each week.

Made Here is teaming up with Kim Bartmann’s Third Bird restaurant on the market as part of the restaurant’s Alley Rally, a festival featuring live music and local food.

The Third Bird is also hosting a pop-up art gallery.

Musicians lined up to perform include Aby Wolf, Al Church, Blair, LOTT, Tony’s Ska Jam, Ethio Jazz, Bookhouse Trio, Twinkie Jiggles Broken Orchestra, McNasty Brass Band, Picnic Operetta, White Night, Gabriel Douglas, Tasha Baron, Liz Draper and Chris Hepola; The Lakers, The Neighborhood Trio, Black Widows, Body Cartography and Grant Hart.

Made Here launched in 2013 with its first window display artist showcases. Its latest exhibition, “Intersections,” includes work by 60 artists at 30 different locations downtown.
