Wedge Co-op looks to sell off organic farm

The Wedge Co-op has decided to sell its seven-year-old Dakota County farm, Gardens of Eagan.

The Wedge is looking for a buyer to operate the organic farm.

“We would have to invest significantly to make the farm work and we chose instead to invest in our successful retail and wholesale distribution operations,” CEO Josh Resnik said in a statement.

He said a division called Co-op Partners Warehouse, which supplies the Upper Midwest with orders from small farms, is a better investment for The Wedge than owning its own farm.
