Paper Hat is closing by May 9 at 2309 W. 50th St.
Owner Greta Norlander of Uptown has a background in art, and said she isn’t sure what her next endeavor will be. She encouraged customers and artists to follow her on Instagram at paperhatco. After four years, she’s worked with close to 200 artists from Minnesota and across the country.
“It’s such a great network we’ve built here, and I hate to lose that,” she said.
Transformation Training next door will take over the space, she said.
Norlander said in a Facebook post that all store items are on sale until closing.
“I have truly loved my store, artists and customers so much, and this has been such a hard decision, but I am confident that it is the best decision for me at this time,” she said in the post. “I love hearing stories about the people who have purchased or received countless unique gifts, and you should all be proud that you support artists!!”
