Danielle Jokinen hosted her first class at Minnesota Power Yoga’s new location in Uptown this week.

Jokinen, the studio’s owner and instructor, recently relocated from Washington Avenue in the North Loop to Uptown.

Minnesota Power Yoga moved from an older, less efficient North Loop building to a new space at 2905 Garfield Ave., which will make it easier to host hot yoga classes. The previous studio created a constant struggle to keep classes heated, Jokinen said.

The studio hosts a number of types of yoga, fitness and training classes.

Members can also take advantage of street parking and the nearby Midtown Greenway to get to the new studio space, Jokinen said. The studio also features a new shower. Jokinen said she plans to bring a restorative teacher in this summer to teach classes at the new space.

Minnesota Power Yoga is offering deals for new members, including a $30 deal for the first two weeks.
