Steven Brown of Tilia has eyed the former Lynn on Bryant space for years. He considered opening a restaurant there back when a fire in 2010 destroyed Blackbird and Heidi’s in the building.
“I decided to open Tilia instead,” Brown said.
Following the spring closure of The Lynn, Brown is ready to take over the space with a concept and layout similar to his original vision. He’s planning a “buvette,” or French tavern, inspired by restaurants in France he’s visited and even the café in the movie Chocolat.
He anticipates an opening date later in 2015.
