Corner Table is launching brunch service at its new location at 4537 Nicollet Ave., and the restaurant’s version of brunch is rather hearty.
There are sweet potato long johns, country fried rabbit and hot pastrami benedicts, with a kids’ menu that features biscuits and chocolate gravy.
Brunch is served 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, in addition to dinner service Monday thru Saturday.
When the owners of Corner Table learned La Chaya Bistro was closing, they quickly snagged the extra patio space.
“There is a ton of growth potential in Kingfield, and we wanted to grow with the neighborhood,” said co-owner Nick Rancone.
Acoustically and size-wise, the new location cures a lot of Corner Table’s nagging problems, he said.
Corner Table is holding on to its old space at 4257 Nicollet Ave. as the new home of “Revival.” The new restaurant launches mid-late summer, offering picnic baskets and Carolina comfort food. The owners will renovate the restaurant to match the 1916 building’s original aesthetic.
“It’s continuously operated as a restaurant for 35 years, and it’s time for an overhaul,” Rancone said.
