The colorful La Fresca restaurant is now open at 4750 Grand Ave. S., featuring a seasonal menu and a popcorn machine.
The brightly-painted restaurant has “Nouveau Mexican” food, Pacifico on tap and a large window view into the kitchen. It’s a block away from Chef Hector Ruiz’ Cafe Ena, and about a mile away from his Rincon 38 restaurant at 38th & Grand.
Primeros ($7-10) include Mayan recipes and quesadillas with homemade tortillas, wild mushrooms and cotija cheese.
The menu’s Terceros ($16-$20) include chipotle pepper shrimp, avocado-cilantro crusted snapper and barbacoa de barrego.
The restaurant opens every day at 4 p.m.
