The 20-year-old Bead Monkey shop is moving a mile down the street from 50th & France to 50th & Penn, into the former Calhoun Beach Framing storefront.
Owner Dave Lilja said they’re sticking with the same landlord and opening in a smaller space with a larger classroom in the basement.
Classes include Metalworking 101, Viking Knitting, Mica Riveting, Polymer Clay and Friday Night Necklace. The store also hosts summer camps and birthday parties for kids.
“This corner is quieter in the evening,” Lilja said. “It will expose us to a different clientele.”
The Bead Monkey hopes to relocate in mid-February.
