ECig Crib is now open at 3007 Lyndale, offering electronic cigarettes that are billed as a comfortable substitute for people trying to quit smoking.
A store employee who requested not to print his name explained that electronic cigarettes contain anywhere from zero nicotine up to 25 milligrams, which is comparable to a strong cigarette. The store sells 150 “E Juices,” with flavors like jäg bomb, traditional tobacco and cinnamon roll. Chocolate-covered strawberry is quickly becoming the store’s best-seller, the staff member said.
Electronic cigarettes are not regulated by the Minnesota Clean Indoor Air Act, according to the state department of health, although the department notes that the omission does not speak to any potential health hazards the devices might pose.
The ECig Crib employee said he usually asks proprietors for permission before “vaping” at public businesses.
