A Vietnamese restaurant called Vo’s is taking over the former El Meson space at 3450 Lyndale Ave. S.
The owner once ran the same restaurant in Northeast at Broadway & Adams, but said he became burned out by the long hours and sold the business. He then moved to San Diego, where he opened and later sold another Vo’s restaurant.
“Restaurants are a lot of work. If you really care for customer service, you’ll be there almost daily,” said owner Francois Vo. “[But] I keep coming back.”
The Lyndale opening date is not finalized, and the opening could come as early as August.
Vo said his restaurant is known for its spring rolls, barbecue chicken and pork, egg noodle soup and special teas.
