b. resale moving to new Eat Street June 1

"Recycled fashion" shop leaving Tangletown after three years

WHITTIER — After three years of business in Tangletown, b. resale will relocate to a new Eat Street location at 2613 Nicollet Ave.

Doors for the new location open June 1. The store offers “recycled fashion,” selling new and pre-owned clothing. The shop works to propagate a tone of environmental and social responsibility through methods like their no-bag policy.

b. resale also broadcasts the work of local artists, featuring their products throughout the store.

“We are sad to leave our neighborhood because the community has been supportive of us, but we are really excited for the new Eat Street location,” said owner Allison Bross-White. “We needed more foot traffic and the new neighborhood is very up-and-coming. And the fact that we’re right next to Glam Doll [Donuts] is awesome.”

The new location will be bigger and better, with twice the square footage and number of fitting rooms as the old store. The new location will also include an expanded “real” men’s section, local designer merchandising and off-street parking.

Bross-White is confident that the move will benefit shoppers as well.

“Most of our customers live in Uptown, so the new store will be within walking distance for them,” she said.

Shoppers are invited to celebrate the new location with a grand opening party from 1 p.m.–5 p.m. June 15. The festivities will include music by DJ Don Cuco & Sarah White, as well as Bomba Umoya, an Afro-Puerto Rican group. Local artists Eric Franzen and Jordan Hamilton will also unveil their graffiti mural artwork at the party.
