Police seeking help identifying suspects involved in violent Uptown assault

A woman walking on the 2500 block of Aldrich Avenue South on Sunday afternoon was violently assaulted by a white man who strangled her to the point of unconsciousness, according to Minneapolis Police.

One of her stolen credit cards was later used by two white males the following morning. Surveillance cameras caught them on video (see photos below.)

When the woman regained consciousness, she screamed for help and several people came to her aid and called 911. She was transported to the hospital for treatment for her injuries.

The MPD’s 5th Precinct is stepping up patrols in the area and working with community partners to find the men captured on the surveillance cameras.
