Neighborhoods Organizing for Change raising money for people impacted by West Broadway fire

Neighborhoods Organizing for Change is raising money for businesses and residents impacted by the West Broadway fire.

The community organization’s office was also destroyed in the blaze that broke out Wednesday morning on the 900 block of West Broadway.

“We are deeply saddened by the fire that devastated our block of West Broadway this morning. The NOC office was destroyed. Thankfully, none of NOC’s staff were harmed by the fire. We’re safe and thankful to be alive,” the organization posted on the fundraising page.

The group has a goal of raising $20,000 in the next 24 hours to assist people impacted by the fire.

“We ask the community to support our neighbors at this difficult time,” the group wrote. “We appreciate the outpouring of support. We will rebuild. We will continue the work. Onward and upward.”
