Attacking dog turned in to Animal Control

A dog that attacked and killed a small dog at Martin Luther King Park April 20 has been turned in to Animal Control.

The dog victim’s owners, Julene Lind and Steve Rosch, announced the news on Facebook, relayed by the Kingfield Neighborhood Association:

“Hey Nicollet neighbors!
We would like to let you all know the boxer pit bull that mauled and killed sweet Ziggy in king park has been turned in to animal control.
The Minneapolis police dept worked really fast and hard to locate the family walking the dog. Pressure was applied and they brought the boxer pit in to animal control. This could not have happened without all the community tips.
The dog had all current shots so Steve has no rabies worry!

we can’t thank you all enough for the outpouring of flowers, cards, Hugs, thoughts and prayers for us in these last couple of days!
Ziggy does not come home but seems like she got a little justice!
Thanks so much!

And Nicollet ace hardware”
