Police have arrested Ron Christopher Powell, age 42, and charged him with second-degree murder in the Aug. 8 homicide at Champions Bar, located at Lake & Blaisdell.
Powell allegedly killed bystander Mark Anthony Stephenson, age 51, who did not have any connection to a fight that precipitated the shooting.
According to the criminal complaint, Powell was punched repeatedly by another man and fell to the floor, and Powell then pulled out a gun and fired three shots.
Powell was arrested on Oct. 11 in Fargo, and police said he is in custody in North Dakota. He is charged with three felonies: murder in the second degree, assault in the second degree, and prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
