Police say three men tried to kidnap teen in Linden Hills

Three men tried to kidnap a 13-year-old girl while she was riding her bicycle near the intersection of Zenith Avenue and 36th Street in the Linden Hills neighborhood, according to a Minneapolis Police Department press release.

The incident occurred at 2:25 p.m. on May 5.

Police say three men approached the girl and one of them grabbed her by the wrist, telling the girl they would hurt her if she made any noise. The girl screamed and the suspects took off running northbound. Police don’t know if they had a vehicle parked nearby.

The three men were all described as being 30 to 45 years old. One had brown hair and a very muscular build. A second had blond hair with a buzz cut. There was no description of the third man.

Police have no description of the clothing the men were wearing.

No similar incidents have been reported.
