Documentary honors slain UPS driver

BRYN MAWR — A documentary screening on March 21 will commemorate the life of UPS driver Keith Basinski, who was killed in the Sept. 27 Accent Signage shooting.

The eight-minute film will be followed by a reception and remembrances from neighbors, giving people the opportunity to share stories of his impact on the community.

Basinski, age 50, served the Bryn Mawr and Harrison neighborhoods for 29 years. More than 300 people attended his funeral.

“It’s neat to listen to neighborhood residents’ different reflections — how many different ways you can impact somebody’s life,” filmmaker Deacon Warner told the Southwest Journal last fall.

The screening will take place Thursday, March 21 at 7 p.m. at the Harrison Community Center, located at 503 Irving Ave. N.
