City officials are considering adding new bus options or a modern streetcar line to the Nicollet-Central corridor.
There are three open houses planned for the community to gather feedback on the two transit options:
— Tuesday, Feb. 12, 5:30–7:30 p.m., at MPHA Parker Skyview Community Room, 1815 Central Ave. NE.
— Wednesday, Feb. 13, 5:30–7:30 p.m., at HCMC Whittier Clinic, 2810 Nicollet Ave. S.
— Thursday, Feb. 14, 3:30–5:30 p.m., at Minneapolis Central Library, 300 Nicollet Mall.
The corridor — one of the busiest in the city — stretches 9.2 miles from the 46th Street/I-35W Transit station to the Columbia Heights Transit Center on Central Avenue.
