EAST HARRIET

June 19, 11:30 a.m.

Bryant & 38th

An internal audit of a nursing home will be performed after a woman, 90, fell victim to a credit card thief, a police report said. The woman’s daughter was visiting her mother when the bank informed her that her mother’s credit card had been used at a Walmart in Brooklyn Park. The 90-year-old woman has not left the home since checking-in in late May. The card also was used at a Holiday station store in Brooklyn Park, the report said.

June 19–20

3200 block of Humboldt Ave. S.

Four residences were broken into during nighttime hours, followed by a fifth the following night. A total of five bikes were stolen from in or near garages.

KINGFIELD

June 20, 7:45 p.m. 

3800 block of Nicollet Avenue

A stolen motorcycle was recovered after the building manager reported the abandoned vehicle to police. The manager first spoke with tenants and confirmed the vehicle did not belong to anyone in the building. A witness told police he had observed a woman pushing the motorcycle onto the sidewalk June 19.

LINDEN HILLS

June 20–21

Upton & 42nd

A father and daughter parked their cars on the street outside their home. Several items were stolen from both cars, including the man’s phone, which was used to call Metro Transit at 3:30 a.m. Police video of the suspect(s) on the bus may exist and could be used to track down the criminals, a police report said.

June 24, 5:30 p.m.

Southwest High School

Police arrested two juveniles in Southwest High School after responding to a silent alarm. Police searched the building with a K-9 unit, found two suspects and subsequently booked them in the Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center for burglary and possession of burglary tools.

STEVENS SQUARE

+ June 24, 6 p.m.

2000 block of Lyndale Ave. S.

A woman, 25, was fighting with her boyfriend’s friend when her boyfriend assaulted her with a beer bottle, a police report states. The two men left the scene before police arrived.

June 19–20

4700 block of Pillsbury Ave. S.

Potted plants and planters were stolen.

June 24, 9:30 p.m.

5300 block of Grand Ave. S.

A car was stolen from the vehicle owner’s driveway.

THE WEDGE

+ June 23, 2 a.m.

2800 block of Hennepin Ave. S.

A Stillwater woman, 23, was robbed of her cell phone and purse. The purse-snatchers — two males — fled from the scene in a vehicle. 

WHITTIER

+ June 19, 5 a.m.

Pillsbury & Franklin

Police were called after a man, 27, was robbed by two suspects. The victim fled to safety before calling police.  

+ June 22, 10 a.m.

2300 block of Pillsbury Ave. S.

A 34-year-old Minneapolis man was charged with assault and assault with a dangerous weapon after police responded to a report of domestic assault. A female victim at the scene was treated at Hennepin County Medical Center for a knife wound across the neck and two stab wounds. Four police officers were sprayed in the face with mace while responding to the call, the report stated. The suspect also was treated at HCMC.

+ June 22, 11:30 p.m.

2700 block of Pillsbury Ave. S.

Four men were arrested in connection with an armed robbery. The victim was robbed of $70 by three men in ski masks, two with handguns. The robbers fled in a vehicle that matched the one police pulled over in proximity to the crime, a police report said.

June 23, 6:30 p.m.

3000 block of Pleasant Ave. S.

A woman, 38, was in her apartment when a female guest ordered her to hand over a piece of jewelry. The suspect scratched the woman and fled before police arrived.
