ARMATAGE

5400 block of Washburn Ave. S. Morning of May 12
An unknown suspect broke into a single-family home in the morning and stole two laptop computers, a men’s gold class ring and a TV from the master bedroom. The suspect gained entry by prying the back door open. Neighbors did not see anything suspicious.

CARAG

+ 31st & Hennepin, May 10, around midnight
A 30-year-old man was walking northbound on Hennepin Avenue when he heard a voice behind him say, “Hey.” The man turned around and was punched several times in the right side of his head and eye. He described the suspect as a white male with blond hair. The suspect stole the man’s wallet and cell phone and left him with a bruised right eye.

EAST HARRIET

1800 block of W. 37th St. May 13, 8:00 p.m.

A 33-year-old woman parked her car and went to take her dog for a walk. She was gone one hour. When she returned she found her front window smashed in. The two guns and magazines in the glove compartment were gone.


LOWRY HILL EAST

+ 2900 block of Hennepin Ave. S. May 15, 4:30 p.m.
Two men, aged 26 and 21, were arrested after assaulting and inflicting multiple injuries on a 28-year-old man in front of the McDonalds at the intersection of Lagoon and Hennepin avenues.

+ 2400 block of Garfield Ave. S. May 15, 12:00 p.m.

Two roommates got into a verbal argument that escalated to violence. Police were called. The victim, a 29-year-old man, was knocked down and choked. He said the hold the other man put him in injured his back.


LYNDALE

Mantra Body Temple, 401 W. Lake St. Night of May 12
An unknown suspect broke into Mantra Body Temple sometime between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. The suspect shattered the front glass door, pried open the safe and stole about $2,000.

+ 35th & Stevens, May 10, 1:45 p.m.

A man at the intersection of 35th & Stevens stopped behind a 29-year-old female’s vehicle, got out and kicked it. He pulled her out of the car and punched her in the face and head five times. He got back into his car and sped off, nearly hitting the woman standing by her car. The woman received a black eye and broken blood vessels in her right eye.


STEVENS SQUARE


+ 1900 block of Lyndale Ave. S. May 15, 12:30 a.m.

A man was transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center after being the victim of an aggravated assault.


WHITTIER


+ 2500 block of Harriet Ave. S. May 19, 6:00 p.m.

Two men, ages 27 and 31, assaulted a 43-year-old man. He was punched, kicked and stabbed in the chest and left arm. The stab wounds were not life threatening. The two men were positively identified and booked by police.

CARAG

3400 block of Dupont Ave. S. April 29, 11:30 a.m.

An unknown person entered an apartment complex before attempting to pry open several doors. The person was able to break into a number of apartments and take items, but fled the scene after attempting to gain entry to an occupied unit.

EAST ISLES

2600 block of Lake of the Isles Parkway E. April 26, 10:30 a.m.
An unknown person attempted to gain entrance to a man’s house by disabling two exterior surveillance cameras and cutting the phone line. The person was unable to get into the house and fled the scene in a truck.

FULTON

5200 block of Zenith Ave. S. April 27, 4:15 a.m.
An unknown person broke into a couple’s car, grabbed the car’s garage door opener and entered the couple’s attached garage. Upon hearing noise in the garage, a man in the house opened the door connecting the garage to the house. The intruder fled.

5300 block of Zenith Ave. S. Early morning of April 28.
An unknown person entered a woman’s garage and stole several items.

LINDEN HILLS

3800 block of Upton Ave. S. Early morning of May 1.
An unknown person entered into a house through an unlocked back door while everyone in the house was asleep. The person searched through two of the rooms before fleeing with several stolen items.

LYNNHURST

5600 block of Logan Ave S. Early morning of April 26.
An unknown person entered a man’s garage and stole several items.

KINGFIELD

3600 block of Stevens Ave. S. April 30, 3 a.m.
A 38-year-old man was hit over the head by an unknown person. The person then stole the man’s SUV.

3900 block of 1st Ave. S. + April 30, 11:45 p.m.
A 25-year-old woman and 53-year-old man were robbed at gunpoint.

THE WEDGE

2600 block of Colfax Ave. S. + April 28, 11:45 p.m.
An unknown person robbed a 24-year-old man. Police later apprehended a 20-year-old male suspect at a different location.

2600 block of Colfax Ave. S. + April 29, 11:45 p.m.
Two men assaulted a 23-year-old man. The men stole items from his pockets and his backpack, which included a laptop.

2900 block of Lyndale Ave. S. + May 1, 11 p.m.

A 33-year-old man assaulted a 57-year-old man. Police arrested the 33-year-old.

WHITTIER

2200 block of Blaisdell Ave. S. + April 27, 7:15 p.m.
A 37-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint.

24th & Nicollet April 28, 5:30 p.m.
A 29-year-old woman was at the bus stop handling her bus fare when a man approached her and grabbed her purse. The two were in a tug-of-war over the purse for some time before the man finally got it away from her. He took $10 from inside the purse, threw it to the ground, and fled the scene.

WINDOM

5600 block of Wentworth Ave. S. Morning of April 29.
A man and a woman left the house early in the morning. When they arrived back midday, the rear door of the house was forced open and several items had been taken.

CEDAR-ISLES-DEAN

Greenway Commercial Properties, 3266 W. Lake St. Between dates of April 15 & April 18
A business was broken into and a laptop and roll of stamps stolen. The business’s door had no deadbolt and showed no signs of forced entry. Two locked offices inside had pry marks from what appeared to be a screwdriver. Of the two offices, only the business owner’s was broken into.

51st & Beard, April 19, 1:30 a.m.
Three menassaulted an 18-year-old man and stole his cell phone.

KENWOOD

1900 block of W. Franklin Ave. April 18, 10:40 p.m.
A 54-year-old man reportedly living in a suspected homeless camp assaulted a police officer while she was taking him into custody.

2100 block of W. Lake of the Isles Parkway. Day of April 14
A 47-year-old man’s car was entered by unknown means, with no signs of forced entry. The man said the car was locked. The man’s pain pills were stolen from the center console. Several other types of medication were stored in the center console as well, but they were not taken.

KINGFIELD

3700 block of Nicollet Ave. S. April 12, 10:30 p.m.

A 21-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint. The unknown suspect fled the scene.

40th & Lyndale, April 17, 1 a.m.
Three men rushed a 39-year-old man. One of the men punched him in the face twice and told him to give him all of his valuables. The 39-year-old man handed over his cell phone and wallet but refused to give up his house keys. He then began to yell for help. The men fled the scene.

A man and woman returned home to find their door forced open and several items stolen from inside.

Summit & Bryant, Afternoon of April 18
A 47-year-old woman’s car was broken into and her GPS unit was stolen.

LYNDALE

33rd & Pleasant, April 15, 3:20 a.m.
A 22-year-old man was pulled over by police for a suspicious vehicle stop. The man fled on foot but was arrested. The vehicle was identified as stolen. The man was arrested for tampering with a motor vehicle.

TANGLETOWN

500 block of W. Minnehaha Parkway. April 16, 10 p.m.
An unknown person pried open the service door on a 52-year-old man’s garage. The person stole several items from the loft above the garage and inside the garage, including a CD player.

5100 block of Harriet Ave. S. Early morning of April 17
An unknown person entered a 39-year-old man’s attached garage and stole three bicycles.

500 block of W. 54th St. Morning of April 13
A 74-year-old woman parked her bike inside of a church while she was there. When she went back to where she put the bike, it was missing.

THE WEDGE

Studiiyo23, 2319 Hennepin Ave. S. April 18, 5:20 p.m.
Officers arrived at the business after being called for an audible business alarm going off. No sign of forced entry was noticed, but several items were stolen.

Super America, 2200 Lyndale Ave. S. April 18, 7 p.m.
A 26-year-old man dropped his phone as he was getting into his car and accidentally left it at the gas station. A man found it was able to make contact with the man who lost it. They arranged to meet back at the Super America to return the item. Shortly before they were set to meet, the man who found the phone contacted the 26-year-old man and asked if there was a reward for returning the phone. The 26-year-old said that he would like to offer a reward, but couldn’t. The man who found the phone then hung up and did not return to Super America at the scheduled time to return the phone and has not answered calls since.

WHITTIER

2300 block of Blaisdell Ave. S. Early morning of April 14
A 37-year-old man’s car was stolen from his parking garage stall. The man still had his keys and found glass on the garage floor where his car was parked.
