CARAG

3500 block of Dupont Ave. S. Early morning of April 1
A 41-year-old woman went outside to start up her car. She noticed that the front driver’s side tire and rim were missing. Upon further inspection, the back tire and passenger side tires were also missing. The lug nuts were left on the ground.

3200 block of Colfax Ave. S. Early morning of April 3
A 58-year-old man’s car was parked in his alley driveway. During the night, the car was broken into and his after-market stereo stolen.

KINGFIELD

3800 block of Pillsbury Ave S. Night of March 30
A 31-year-old man’s car was stolen. It was parked legally and locked, but the man kept a spare key in the center console. No broken glass was found on the ground at the scene.

3700 block of Pleasant Ave. S. March 31, 7:45 p.m.
A 55-year-old man left his coat on a radiator during a martial arts practice. While he was in class his jacket, wallet and cell phone were stolen. His instructor’s wallet was also taken. Roughly $340 worth of purchases were made on his debit card shortly thereafter at other retailers.

East 45th Street and Nicollet Avenue South. Day of April 2
A 59-year-old man’s front door was forced open while he was away. His 37-year-old daughter went to check on the property and found the door ajar and called police. No items were reported stolen. The door was unable to be fixed so the fire department had to board up the entry.

4500 block of Grand Ave. S. April 4, 4:20 a.m.
A 45-year-old man reported to police that items were stolen from his residence. Police located a suspect and the man positively identified the 23-year-old man as the man who stole his property. The 23-year-old was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center for a minor injury before being booked at Hennepin County Jail. The items the 23-year-old stole were returned to the 45-year-old man.

LOWRY HILL

2100 block of Humboldt Ave. S. March 29, 2:20 p.m.

Three men, ages 30, 48 and 50 stole a windmill from a 44-year-old woman’s backyard and fled in a car. The men were pulled over by police and cited for theft and having an open bottle. The windmill was returned to the woman.

Dunwoody Blvd. April 5, 10 p.m.
A 38-year-old man stepped out of his car momentarily. When he did, a person he had met that day jumped into the driver’s seat and drove off. The man does not know how to contact the person.

Lake Wine & Spirits, 404 W. Lake St. April 2, 8:30 p.m.
A 33-year-old man attempted to take a bottle of vodka by hiding it under his coat. The owner confronted the man and the bottle broke in the process. The man was detained until police arrived.

Garfield Avenue and Lake Street. April 3, 5 p.m.
An unknown person broke into a car and stole a woman’s cell phone.

3000 block of Pleasant Ave. S. April 4, 3 p.m.
A 35-year-old man’s apartment was broken into and property stolen.

+ 5100 block of Aldrich Ave. S. April 1, 10:30 p.m.
A 16-year-old boy was robbed of money from two men who then fled the scene.

STEVENS SQUARE

+ Franklin Ave. and 3rd Ave. S. March 30, 12:45 a.m.
A 41-year-old man was robbed at knifepoint and his cell phone stolen.

1700 block of 2nd Ave. S. Afternoon of March 30
A 29-year-old woman’s apartment was burglarized while she was out.

+ 1900 block of 3rd Ave S. April 2, 3:40 a.m.
An unknown man robbed a man and woman, both 32 years old, at gunpoint at their apartment. The unknown man fled with the woman’s purse.

THE WEDGE

2400 block of Bryant Ave. S. Afternoon of March 30
A 56-year-old woman’s car that was legally parked and locked was stolen. Nobody had keys or permission to use it.

800 block of W. Lake St. Night of March 31
A 26-year-old man’s car was broken into. His non-working stereo was the only item stolen.

Familia, 2833 Hennepin Ave. S. April 2, 3:20 p.m.
A man grabbed items from the Familia skateboard shop and walked up to the counter as if he was going to pay. He then ran out the door and fled to a waiting vehicle.

1400 Lagoon Ave. April 3, 1 a.m.

A woman was in a restaurant when a man bumped into her. The woman checked her purse and noticed that her wallet was gone. A 29-year-old man said he saw somebody, later identified as a 44-year-old man, disposing of the wallet in a nearby trashcan. The 44-year-old man was later arrested.

Floyd’s Barbershop, 1220 Lake St. W. April 3, 7 p.m.
The business was broken into and $500 was stolen.

Darbar India Grill and Bar, 1221 W. Lake St. Early morning of March 18

An unknown person pried open the front door of the business.

3500 block of Bryant Avenue South, Morning of March 18
A 27-year-old man’s apartment was broken into and burglarized.

3100 block of Aldrich Avenue South, Night of March 20
An unknown person cut through a 21-year-old woman’s apartment window screen and entered into her bedroom. The residence was burglarized.

LINDEN HILLS

4300 block of York Avenue South, March 15, 6 p.m.
A 28-year-old woman called police to report someone attempted to kick in her door. Her house is part of a duplex. The other residence in the duplex, belonging to a 32-year-old man, was broken into and burglarized.

LOWRY HILL

1700 block of Hennepin Avenue South, Early morning of March 19
A 23-year-old woman’s car was broken into during the night. An unknown person took about $5 in quarters from the cup holder but left a GPS unit that was on the dashboard.

2100 block of Dupont Avenue South, March 21, 3 p.m.
A 35-year-old woman left her purse under her desk at work. She returned to the office 10 minutes later and found that it was missing. When she called to cancel her credit cards, she learned that about $800 in fraudulent charges has been run through at Target in Brooklyn Park, a gas station and a liquor store.

LYNDALE

Lake & Stevens, March 18, 1:20 a.m.
A 21-year-old man was talking to two people when another two men approached the man and stole his wallet from his back pocket. The loss included $300 in cash and the man’s immigration identification.

STEVENS SQUARE

1800 block of 3rd Avenue South, March 15, 11:30 a.m.
A 66-year-old man’s television was stolen from the five-unit condominium’s lower-level storage area. There was no sign of forced entry.

18th & 3rd, March 21, 2 p.m.
A 30-year-old man’s car was broken into. The man’s laptop was stolen from the passenger seat.

Hot Wireless T-Mobile, 1804 Nicollet Ave. S., March 21, 9 p.m.

The glass front door of business was broken to gain entrance. File drawers were ransacked but no indication of loss at this time.

3300 block of Blaisdell Avenue South, Early morning of March 20
A 24-year-old woman’s car was broken into and stereo stolen. The dashboard was damaged during the theft.

THE WEDGE

1300 block of Lagoon Avenue, March 19, 8:20 p.m.
A 23-year-old woman from out of state returned to her parked car to find the window broken. The woman’s laptop, flat iron, Iowa driver’s license, bag of clothes and insurance card were stolen.

Lake & Aldrich, March 21, 11:10 p.m.
+ A 26-year-old woman was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct. The woman then kicked the officers and resisted getting into the squad car. Police sustained no injuries.

WHITTIER

Sullivan’s Supervalu, 30 W. Lake St., March 16, 4:30 p.m.

+ A 51-year-old male employee of the business put a 35-year-old woman under citizen’s arrest for theft. The woman assaulted the man and damaged a glass door while attempting to get away. Police later arrested the woman.

2900 block of Harriet Avenue South, March 16, 11:40 p.m.
+ A 27-year-old man went to the location to visit with people. When he arrived, a 34-year-old woman told him to leave before stabbing him in the abdomen. The man was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The woman was arrested on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon.

2700 block of Blaisdell Avenue South, March 18, 3:20 p.m.
A 62-year-old man arrived at home and parked his truck outside his apartment building. He unlocked the truck bed’s cover and took groceries up to the apartment but left the keys in the cover’s lock. The truck was missing when he returned. A witness said he saw the car speeding down the alley and could identify the suspect if he saw him.

2900 block of Pillsbury Avenue South, March 20, 9:30 p.m.
+ A 43-year-old man was punched in the face by an unknown person. The attacker stole $500 from the man’s jacket pocket and fled the scene. The man refused medical assistance.
