Calhoun Square, 3001 Hennepin Ave. S.
Feb. 13, 6:50 p.m.

A man’s car was broken into while at dinner in Calhoun Square. The victim’s bag, which included dental records and papers for his job, was taken.

3000 block of James Ave. S.
Feb. 10, 8 a.m.

Unknown suspects pried open a hallway door in an apartment complex and damaged part of the wall. Two apartments were entered.

2500 block of Upton Ave. S.
Feb. 11, 12:30 p.m.

A door at a residence was found open. Unknown suspects forced the door open and burglarized the residence.

KINGFIELD

4100 block of Grand Ave. S.
Feb. 8, 12:30 a.m.

The victim’s front license plate was stolen from the car during the night or early morning.

4100 block of Pillsbury Ave. S.
Feb. 8, 6:30 p.m.

The victim’s front license plate was stolen off her car.

LYNDALE


32nd St. E and Nicollet Ave. S.
Feb. 9, 6 p.m.

Two males in a vehicle hit a second vehicle with two male occupants and attempted to flee the scene. The two men in the second vehicle punched and threatened the men in the first vehicle with guns.

Feb. 10, 4:40 p.m.

A witness told police that he saw the suspect and victim in a business together. When they left, the witness heard a loud bang and th 47-year-old suspect came into the business again to brag about assaulting the 59-year-old victim. The witness then saw the suspect slam the business’s door on the victim’s head while he was unconscious and laying on the ground. The suspect fled the scene, but was later apprehended and identified by the witness. The suspect was booked at Hennepin County Jail on charges of assault. The victim required stitches and may have head injuries.

3300 block of Stevens Ave. S.
Feb. 13, 11:20 p.m.

A 55-year-old male’s vehicle was stolen while he was bringing in groceries. The victim told police that he had left the keys in the ignition and the car running.

LYNNHURST

5300 block of Penn Ave. S.
Feb. 14, 11 a.m.

A suspect entered a business while the victim was in the back room. Upon the victim’s return a few minutes later, the suspect asked for directions before leaving the premises on foot. After the suspect left, the witness discovered that her checkbook was missing from her purse where she had placed it under the reception desk, and the desk appeared tampered with. Nothing was taken from the desk.

5000 block of Belmont Ave.
Feb. 14, 12 a.m.

The victim’s car was broken into at his residence. An unknown suspect stole the victim’s work computer, GPS and parking change.

5100 block of Garfield Ave. S.
Feb. 14, 3:10 a.m.
A car was broken into and the victim’s GPS was stolen.

WHITTIER

+ 29th St. W and Nicollet
Feb. 11, 9:50 p.m.

A 28-year-old female was approached by three men from behind her on the street. The suspects demanded money and punched her in the stomach. She walked to the 5th Precinct to report the crime. She was then taken by Hennepin County Medical Center ambulance to Southdale Hospital. No loss was reported and there is currently no information on suspects.

2400 block of Pillsbury Ave S.
Feb. 12, 11:30 p.m.

An unknown suspect stole a laptop from a secured cabinet.

+ 2700 block of Pleasant
Feb. 13, 12:40 a.m.

Several suspects forced entry into a residence. Suspects beat one of the victims before taking items from his pocket and from the residence. The beaten victim was a 21-year-old male. The two other victims were a 21-year-old male and a 20-year-old female.

2500 block of Stevens Ave. S.
Feb. 14, 9 a.m.

A victim’s car was broken into and GPS stolen. The victim reported the crime to the Minneapolis College of Art and Design’s security.
