A thief or thieves hit seven vehicles in the Kingfield neighborhood on Nov. 2 and Nov. 3, taking cameras, iPods, wallets, sunglasses and change, according to police.
The thefts came in the radius of a few blocks, including the 4000 block of Garfield Avenue; the 4200 blocks of Harriet and Lyndale avenues; the 4400 blocks of Garfield and Lyndale avenues and the 4500 block of Garfield Avenue.
Some victims had locked their vehicles while other hadn’t, according to the Minneapolis Police Department. Police have no suspects.
Here are some tips from Minneapolis Police on how to avoid theft from your vehicle:
1. Don’t leave valuables in your car. Even change can tempt thieves.
2. If you must leave valuables in your vehicle, lock them in your trunk.
3. Lock car doors and window.
4. Be cautious in the case of a break-in that thieves make have stolen your identity.
