Farmers market coming to Fulton
A group of Fulton residents led by Meg Cowden plans to start a farmers market in the neighborhood next spring.
Cowden, a Fulton Neighborhood Association board member, is leading a committee from Fulton and is working with the Kingfield Farmer’s Market, a non-profit organization, to get the market started.
She said she hopes to have 15 to 20 vendors next year and to add more in the following years. No site had been finalized. The farmers market will not be managed by the Fulton Neighborhood Association, she said.
“The mission is to bring our community together and create a place to foster social gathering and to support our local farmers,” said Cowden, a mother and avid gardener.
The group is still raising funds, securing sponsorships and recruiting vendors. To get involved, e-mail Cowden at [email protected]
