Forum on Tuesday to feature candidates for 60A House seat

The Lowry Hill Neighborhood Association on Jan. 26 will host a forum featuring declared candidates for the District 60A seat in the state House of Representatives. It’s scheduled for 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1917 Logan Ave. S.

Speaker Margaret Anderson Kelliher has held the seat since she was first elected in 1998. Kelliher is not seeking a return this year, instead opting to focus on her bid for governor.

Known candidates for the 60A seat are Marion Greene, who managed Kelliher’s 2006 campaign; Katie Hatt, the primary aide of Hennepin County Commissioner Peter McLaughlin; and Tom Nordyke, most recently the president of the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. All three are seeking the endorsement of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party.

Caucuses are Feb. 2. For more information, click here.
