Between 9 p.m. Dec. 9 and 9 a.m. Dec. 10, 33rd Street W. and Fremont Ave. S.
An unknown suspect smashed the front driver’s side window of a parked vehicle and stole a GPS unit from the front seat.


Between 8 p.m. Dec. 9 and 8 a.m. Dec. 10, 3238 Lake St. W.

The owner of Little Tel-Aviv Café and Restaurant arrived to work to find his security alarm ripped from the wall and a 55-inch TV missing. The burglars apparently entered through a sheetrock wall in the women’s bathroom that leads into the restaurant’s kitchen. Officers suspected the burglars first entered the multi-business complex through a loading dock door. They also found a hole in the wall leading to Chinese restaurant First Wok and discovered that business’ cash register area had been rummaged through.    


Dec. 12, 4 p.m., 1444 W. Lake St
Officers responded to a report of a forgery in progress at TCF Bank. There, they arrested a young man who was attempting to open an account with false information and had done so in the past.  


Dec. 10, 8:30 a.m., 4001 Pleasant Ave. S.
A man saw someone taking new roofing material from his yard and loading it into a new, bright blue Toyota Prius. The suspect was described as a white male, age 25–35, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with long brown hair.  

Dec. 12, 6 p.m., 3957 Nicollet Ave. S.
An employee at Wash Me Car Wash saw a man pay for a car wash with a Chuck E. Cheese token. When the employee confronted the man, who was already washing his car, the man started screaming at him, saying the employee owned him $2.50. When the employee threatened to call the police, the suspect, who was with three other men, got in the car and left the scene. Police checked the home that matched the car’s plate number, but no one was home.  


Dec. 8, between 6:45 p.m. and 8:10 p.m., 2841 Hennepin Ave.
An unknown suspect broke the rear window of the victim’s parked pickup truck and stole a bag from the rear seat.


+ Dec. 8, 7:20 p.m., 324 W. 33rd St. 
Two suspects entered Super Elite Grocery with a sawed-off shotgun and robbed the business, taking a personal laptop and cash. Video from surveillance cameras was too poor for police to use.

Dec. 9, between 12:40 p.m. and 4 p.m., 3146 1st Ave. S.
An unknown suspect walked through an unlocked or open door of an apartment building, cut the wires from a coin-operated washing machine and removed the machine’s lid. The coins had been removed from the machine earlier, so no loss was reported.

Dec. 11, 10:40 p.m., 112 34th St. E.
Police watched a vehicle strike another vehicle and drive away. They turned on their squad car’s lights and siren, but the vehicle continued to flee. Police chased the vehicle for several blocks until it crashed and a man ran from it on foot. Officers caught the man and arrested him for auto theft, DWI, fleeing from police and hit and run.   


+ Dec. 9, 7:30 p.m., 26th St. E. and Nicollet Ave. S.
An unknown suspect punched a 21-year-old man in the face, grabbed a bag from his hands and fled southbound on Nicollet. The victim told police the bag only contained medications. He refused medical attention.

+ Dec. 13, 2:30 a.m., 2841 Lyndale Ave. S.
Two suspects approached two young women, demanded money and the purse from one of them, grabbed the purse and fled.

Dec. 3, between 5:30 p.m. and midnight, 2601 Euclid Place

An unknown suspect smashed the passenger window of the victim’s vehicle and took a purse.

Dec. 5, between 11:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m., corner of Holmes Ave. S. and Lake St. W.

An unknown suspect broke the front passenger door glass of the victim’s vehicle and took a laptop and computer bag. No evidence was found at the scene.  


Between 6 p.m. Dec. 2 and 6 a.m. Dec. 3, 4243 Fremont Ave. S.
Unknown suspects walked past “no trespassing” signs on a construction site and took 10 rolls of construction felt and a heavy-duty one-wheeled air compressor with handles. No evidence was found at the scene.  


Dec. 5, between 2:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., 4517 Grand Ave. S.

A young woman’s TV and laptop were stolen from her apartment. The woman suspects the thief was an individual she and a group of friends gave a ride to after a night drinking downtown. The suspect waited in her living room for 30 minutes for a cab before she told him to leave. She told police the next morning that the keys to her condo unit and building were stolen.  


Dec. 3, 7 p.m., 511 Kenwood Parkway
A 36-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint, but not injured. The suspects were gone when police arrived.


Between 10 p.m. Dec. 6 and 8 a.m. Dec. 7, 1404 W. Lake St.

Unknown suspects removed cash from the register of new bubble tea shop and restaurant, Bubble Me. The suspect might have used a key to access the business.   


Dec. 1, 2:10 p.m., 3041 Pillsbury Ave. S.
An unknown suspect entered an apartment through an unlocked door and took a laptop and an Xbox 360.

Dec. 1, 4:45 p.m., 3317 1st Ave. S.
A suspect pushed a 75-year-old man into a corner with a cane and stole his wallet. The man said he could identify two suspects.

Dec. 2, 1:35 a.m., 105 W. Lake St.
A 25-year-old man was assaulted and robbed at gunpoint. He had to be transported from the scene in an ambulance.


Dec. 1, 8:30 p.m., corner of 4th Ave. S. and Franklin Ave. E.
A man was struck in the head while waiting for the bus and his wallet was stolen.

Dec. 5, 11 p.m., corner of 1st Ave. S. and 19th St. E.
Two men were standing outside their car when multiple suspects in another car pulled up and demanded money at gunpoint. The men lost cash, a cell phone, a laptop and a Bluetooth device. The men gave police detailed descriptions of the suspects and vehicle.   


Dec. 1, 10:30 p.m., 2521 Pillsbury Ave. S.

Two suspects forced a 29-year-old woman out of her vehicle and drove off with it. They said they had a gun, but the woman did not see one. The car was later recovered with a flat tire.

Dec. 3, 2:40 a.m., 2200 Blaisdell Ave. S.
A 28-year-old woman was assaulted with an iron and robbed. Police found her bleeding from the head and she also suffered injuries to her stomach and face. Her clothing and photos of the injuries were inventoried. She told police she would be able to identify the suspects.
