Friday morning the eastbound exit ramp from Highway 62 to Lyndale Avenue will reopen at 5 a.m. And one hour later Peters Billiards has planned a ceremonial convoy of trucks to celebrate the reopening after over seven months.
Greg Peterson, owner of Peters Billards, called the last 5 years a perfect storm because first Peters Billiards was hit with eminent domain and had to build a new building to remain in Minneapolis, and then the ramp closed making it difficult to get to the store, Peterson said.
“It’s been pretty tough on all the Lyndale business, and we are a one-store operation. We don’t have five or 10 different stores around town … They have to get here,” he said. Peterson called the ramp reopening a key step in getting back to business as usual.
This is the first major ramp reopening in the Crosstown construction project.
