CEDAR ISLES DEAN
Between 11 p.m. Sept. 11 and 6 a.m. Sept. 12, 3521 W. 28th St.
Officers responded to a report of a garage burglary. The residents said they woke up to find their detached garage service door and yard gate open and a bicycle gone. Police found that the suspect entered through the unlocked service door.

EAST CALHOUN
Sept. 12, between 7:40 p.m. and 10:15 p.m., 3143 Holmes Ave. S.
A 24-year-old woman left her apartment for a couple hours and found the back door ajar and unlocked when she returned. Multiple items were stolen. Police believe the suspect entered through an open bedroom window exited through the door.

EAST ISLES
Sept. 8, 11:35 p.m., 2426 Hennepin Ave. S.
Officers responded to a burglary call from Walgreens to find it was a shoplifting call. The clerk said two men took a digital camera from the shelf behind the photo counter without permission and left the store without paying for it. Officers stopped the suspects at the corner of 28th Street and Dupont Avenue after they had caught a bus. The suspects were positively identified, but let loose because the camera couldn’t be located and video surveillance from the store couldn’t be viewed.
Sept. 14, between 6:15 p.m. and 6:45 p.m., 28th Street and Lake of the Isles Blvd.
A 28-year-old woman left her car parked near Lake of the Isles while she went for a run and returned to find a window smashed and her purse gone.

KENNY
Sept. 11, 4:45 a.m.
An unknown suspect pried open the eastside door of Borton Volvo and stole a TV off a nearby wall.

KENWOOD
Between 11: 30 p.m. Sept. 9 and 6:30 a.m. Sept. 10, 1951 Kenwood Pkwy
An unknown suspect entered a home through an unlocked rear door and stole a laptop, cell phone and camera from the kitchen. No other room appeared to be tampered with. Police noted that several valuable items including a wallet, vehicle keys and other camera equipment that were in the kitchen were not stolen.

KINGFIELD
Sept. 11, between 8 p.m. and 9 a.m., 4350 Harriet Ave. S.
An unknown suspect entered a detached garage through an unlocked service door, stole a bike and left a different bike at the scene. No physical evidence was found.

LINDEN HILLS
Sept. 9, between 1:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., 4226 Vincent Ave. S.
Unknown suspects entered a home and took an estimated $500 worth of property.

STEVENS SQUARE
+ Sept. 11, between 11:45 a.m. and 12:06 p.m., 1721 3rd Ave. S.
A 51-year-old man was stabbed. Emergency personnel treated him at the scene before he was sent to Hennepin County Medical Center and later released. A suspect was located at another location.

WHITTIER
Sept. 8, 9:55 a.m., 30 W. Lake Street
Officers responded to a shoplifting call at Sullivan’s Supervalu. Store security stopped a 27-year old woman who tried to leave the store with several food items without paying. Police recovered a wood-handled steak knife from the woman’s purse. She was cited for possessing and concealing the knife and released.
+ Sept. 10, 1:30 p.m., 310 W. Lake St.
Suspects punched a 14-year-old boy, demanded his shoes and took his book bag.
Sept. 13, between 1:30 a.m. and 1:35 a.m., 2200 Pillsbury Ave. S.
Officers responded to a shooting and found an 18-year-old man with a gunshot wound on his leg. He and another individual were not cooperative with officers.

WINDOM
+ Sept. 13, 4:15 p.m., 5708 Nicollet Ave. S.
A 38-year-old man was hit in the back of the head with a full beer bottle at least twice. He called police from home, where he was found with a laceration on his head. Paramedics advised him that the cut would require stitches.
