WHITTIER — There will be a taste of Eat Street at the Minnesota State Fair this year.
Harry Singh’s Original Caribbean Restaurant, 2653 Nicollet Ave. S., will open a temporary outpost in the Food Building at the corner of Carnes Avenue and Underwood Street on the fairgrounds. Trinidad native Harry Singh is one of 12 new food booth operators expected at the fair this year, according to the “Food Finder” on the fair’s website.
Locally famous for its hot sauce and Caribbean comfort foods like roti and callaloo, the restaurant’s fair menu will include items like curry chicken on toasted flat bread, jerk chicken wings and bara bread stuffed with curried chickpeas, hot sauce and chutney. No foods on a stick, though.
