EAST ISLES — East Lake of the Isles Parkway between Knox Avenue and Franklin Avenue was to close Tuesday when the next phase of this summer’s parkway reconstruction was scheduled to begin.
The road closure marks the beginning of the third of four phases of parkway reconstruction. The $2.8 million project began in April and was expected to take about three to four months to complete.
This third phase of the project was expected to take about three to four weeks to complete. Detours around the construction begin 7 a.m. Tuesday.
The final phase of the project will require closing the northern section of Lake of the Isles Parkway, between Franklin Avenue and Kenwood Parkway.
