Two indicted for 2007 shooting death

The Minneapolis Police Department’s Homicide Unit said today that indictments were secured against two men suspected to be involved in the May, 2007 death of Jose Armando Calix on the 3000 block of Pleasant Avenue South.

Investigators have been working the case since officers from the 5th Precinct found Calix after responding to a shooting call around 8 p.m. May 11.

A Hennepin County grand jury on April 30 indicted both Toriano Martell Dorman, 21, and Jerome Emmanuel Davis, 28, with first-degree murder.

The defendants are in custody.
