Ramp to remain closed for one month
TANGLETOWN — A Tangletown neighborhood freeway connection closes for a month beginning Tuesday.
The exit ramp from southbound Interstate 35W to Diamond Lake Road was scheduled to close 9 a.m. tomorrow and remain closed for about one month, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) reported. It was the latest closure connected to the Crosstown Reconstruction Project, which aims to relieve a bottleneck and improve safety where I-35W meets Highway 62.
MnDOT planned to open a temporary ramp from southbound I-35W to Diamond Lake Road in early May. All other ramps at that location were scheduled to remain open.
Motorists were advised to follow the posted detour to 60th Street during the closure.
