More than 40 retailers in Uptown are participating in a special Girls’ Night Out shopping event.
The Uptown Association has organized the event, which runs from 4 to 9 p.m. today. There will be discounts and special deals at participating businesses, such as free margaritas with dinner at El Nuevo Rodeo or free roses at Minneapolis Floral.
The event is designed “to bring a renewed audience to uptown,” said Maude Lovell, executive director of the Uptown Association. “We want to offer the community some very unique specials.”
“We’re offering 20 percent off and beer and wine,” Stacy Larson, owner of Covered Uptown said.
“The store is also doing appetizers and staying open an hour later,” Bridget O’Brien, also at Covered Uptown, said. “It should be fun!”
Other deals and a map of participating businesses can be found at uptownminneapolis.com.
