Police have recovered the vehicle suspects used in two robberies in Windom March 1.
Reports from witnesses and “vigilant police work” are to thank, said Crime Prevention Specialist Amy Lavender in an e-mail notice to area residents. Police are close to identifying the suspects, she said.
The victims were robbed on the 100 block of 59th Street at approximately 2 a.m. and near 61st Street and Wentworth Avenue around 2: 30 a.m., according to police reports. The suspects have also been linked to three other robberies that occurred throughout Minneapolis the same day.
Both suspects are described as black males with medium builds, 25-35 years old, and about 5 feet 9 inches tall. Both were armed, one with a black handgun and the other suspect with a silver revolver. The latter was also described as wearing a black and red sweatshirt.
