Dress up your dog for Stevens Square

Fall Harvest Festival is Oct. 18

STEVENS SQUARE — Halloween comes early for pets in one Southwest neighborhood.

Stevens Square Community Organization is holding its first-ever dog costume contest during the neighborhood’s Fall Harvest Festival, Oct. 18. Events for humans include a chili cook-off and autumn bake-off.

Deadline is Saturday, Oct. 11, to sign up any of the three events by sending an email to [email protected] Winners will be selected by the neighborhood.

The Fall Harvest Festival was scheduled for noon–3 p.m. in Stevens Square Park, located at the intersection of East 18th Street and 2nd Avenue South. The annual event is a fundraiser for the community organization.

Event organizers said there would be bocce ball, horseshoes and a bean bag toss for adults. Kids can paint a face on a pumpkin or get their own face painted.

There will be live music and interactive art during the event and food and drink available for purchase.
