Transitions

Location: Corner of Hennepin and 28th

“I am just on my way to get something to eat with my wife. I got married back in July and I moved up here to Minneapolis from Washington. I have never lived outside of my state before, so I am a long way from anybody I know. It’s a big big deal, it’s a big adjustment but I am having a good time with it. I like Minneapolis, people are awfully friendly here, I am not used to it.”

Kirstin Weber

Date: Aug. 28

Time: 9:52 a.m.

Location: The sidewalk of Crema Café at the corner of West 34th & Lyndale

“I am gardening for Crema Café. I am making the gardens absolutely perfect. I am going to re-mulch it, and I’ve been doing some new plantings. Normally, I just weed and maintain it to keep it looking beautiful.

I am from Milwaukee and am a third-year student at the [University of Minnesota] studying environmental design. …”

After graduation, Kirstin said she would like to take a year and travel and do some volunteer work  if she has enough money to do so.

“I started my wordly travels this year. I went to Peru, so I want to keep that up before heading back and getting job experience and starting my career and what not.”
