Primary election today

Polls are open 7 a.m.–8 p.m. for today’s primary election.

Voting will determine which candidates appear on the ballot for the Nov. 4 general election.

In Minneapolis, primary election results will narrow a field of nine school board candidates down to six. Other races on the ballot include contests for open U.S. House and Senate seats and the election of Minnesota judges.

To find your polling place and view a sample ballot for your precinct, visit the city’s online voting information center ( Pre-registration closed Aug. 19, but voters can register to vote at their polling places Tuesday.
