A Linden Hills home will be featured Saturday as part of the annual Minnesota Solar Tour.
The Vifquain residence at 4145 Chowen Ave. S., with 24 solar panels built into its roof, is one of more than 50 sites statewide, and one of eight in Minneapolis, on the tour.
Saturday’s tour is sponsored by the Minnesota Renewable Energy Society and the American Solar Energy Society. It’s a national event, with over 100,000 people visiting around 5,000 sites each year.
The tour is free and self-guided, so if you’re interested, feel free to swing by the Vifquain residence or any of the sites between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Each site features tours of the homes, as well as more information on solar and other renewable energy solutions.
