Bryant-Lake Bowl featured on Food Network

Restaurant celebrating 15 years in October

THE WEDGE — Bryant-Lake Bowl, the prominent Lake Street restaurant preparing to celebrate its 15th anniversary this fall, will be featured on a Food Network program that begins airing Monday night.

A recent visit from Guy Fieri, host of the cable television channel’s “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives,” airs at 9 p.m. tonight and will be repeated several times throughout the week. The combination restaurant, bowling alley and cabaret theater has been featured several times on the Food Network, including a segment in Rachel Ray’s “Tasty Travels.”

An auto-repair garage before it was converted to a bowling alley in 1936, the building at 810 W. Lake St. reopened Halloween 1993 as Bryant-Lake Bowl. It has since established a reputation for serving local meat and produce and hosting locally produced theater and musical acts in its performance space.

A 15th anniversary party at the restaurant is scheduled for Oct. 31. For more information on Bryant-Lake Bowl, visit the restaurant’s website at www.bryantlakebowl.com.
