The deadline to apply, without penalty, for a private block party during National Night Out (NNO) has been extended to Thursday, July 24.
If applications are received after July 24, a $100 fee will apply to those wishing to have their street blocked off for the event. No applications for street closures will be accepted after July 31.
NNO, now in its 25th year, brings together neighbors in an attempt to address public safety concerns and enjoy some good eats on Aug. 5.
Those wishing to apply can do so through the city’s NNO website, or by calling 311, according to a city spokesman.
