Armatage

Between July 10, 7 p.m., and July 11, 8 a.m., 6000 block of Russell Ave.

A 58-year-old man parked his vehicle in front of his home overnight. When he returned in the morning he found the vehicle missing. He told police that the vehicle had been unlocked and the keys left under a floor mat.

CARAG

+ July 16, 12:58 a.m., W. 33rd St. and Fremont Ave.

An unknown number of suspects robbed a 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old man at gunpoint. The victims told police they could possibly identify the suspects at a later time.

+ July 16, 11:55 p.m., W. 31st St. and Emerson Ave.

Three unknown suspects robbed a 25-year-old man and a 19-year-old man at gunpoint. The victims were walking down the street when the three suspects approached, displayed a semi-auto handgun, and demanded the victims empty their pockets. The victims complied and the suspects fled the scene on foot.

East Calhoun

+ July 14, 1:12–1:59 a.m., 3000 block of Hennepin Ave.

Witnesses found a 41-year-old man lying in the street with severe facial injuries. The victim needed to be transported to Fairview Southdale Hospital for treatment. The suspects were gone when police arrived at the scene.

East Isles

+ July 13, 11:24 p.m., Hennepin Ave. and Franklin Ave.

Two unidentified suspects allegedly punched, kicked and shot at a 25-year-old man. Two witnesses observed the victim get shot at and chased by the alleged suspects. The victim needed to be transported to Abbott Northwestern Hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.

Kenny

Between July 17, 10 p.m., and July 18, 8 a.m., 5700 block of Lyndale Ave.

A 30-year-old man parked his vehicle behind his apartment overnight. When he returned in the morning, he found an unknown suspect had stolen the vehicle. While police were in route to the victim’s apartment, the victim observed the vehicle drive by his apartment. He told police that two men were in the front seats and a grey-haired old woman sat in the back seat. The victim was positive it was his vehicle by the license plate number.

Kingfield

July 9, 5–5:15 p.m., 4200 block of Garfield Ave.

A 67-year-old woman was on her way to meet some friends for dinner when she realized she forgot something inside her home. She went back inside and left her purse near the doorway while she went upstairs. When she came back down, she found that an unknown suspect had entered her home and stolen her purse. The loss from the purse included three credit cards, $20 in cash and a set of keys.

Between July 12, 4 p.m., and July 13, 8 p.m., 3700 block of 1st Ave.

A 42-year-old man parked his vehicle in front of his home during the above time frame. When he returned to the vehicle, he found an unknown suspect had stolen it. Officers responding to the theft did not observe any broken glass in the area the vehicle had been parked.

Lowry Hill

+ July 10, 2 a.m., 1900 block of
Hennepin Ave.

An unknown number of suspects robbed and assaulted a 47-year-old woman. The suspects pushed the victim to the ground, punched her several times and then removed her purse from off her arm. The victim refused any medical attention offered by police officers.

July 11, 4:30–6 a.m., 2500 block of Aldrich Ave.

An unknown suspect(s) burglarized the apartment of a 28-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman. The victims told police that they had been asleep at the time and that when they awoke found a wallet, iPod, speakers and laptop missing. There was no sign of forced entry and the backdoor may have been left unlocked.

Lowry Hill East

+ July 13, 11:02 p.m., 900 block of W. 26th St.

An unknown suspect robbed two 18-year-old women and an 18-year-old man at gunpoint. The three victims were sitting on the front porch of a house when the suspect approached, pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded they hand over their money. The victims described the suspect as being a black male, approximately 18-years-old, 5 feet 10 with a medium build, a shaved head and an unshaven face. He was wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans at the time of the incident.

Lyndale

+ July 9, 10:07 p.m., E. 31st St. and Pillsbury Ave.

Two unknown suspects robbed a 37-year-old man at gunpoint. The suspects took the victim’s vehicle and fled westbound on E. 31st St.

Between July 11, 5 p.m., and July 12, 5 p.m., 3100 block of Pleasant Ave.

An unknown suspect(s) burglarized the apartment of a 21-year-old man. The victim’s firesafe was stolen from inside his bedroom. There was no sign of forced entry which lead the victim to believe the suspect(s) had a key to the apartment.

+ July 17, 5 a.m., 2100 block of Blaisdell Ave.

Three unknown suspects robbed and assaulted a 36-year-old man. The victim had been outside smoking when the suspects approached and demanded his wallet. When the victim refused, one of the suspects hit the victim in the head. When police arrived, the victim was unable to remember much because he may have lost consciousness. The victim refused any medical attention.

+ July 18, 2:25 a.m., W. 22nd St. and Blaisdell Ave.

Two unknown suspects assaulted and attempted to rob a 27-year-old man. The victim was punched and kicked repeatedly before struggling free and running into the street. Both suspects then fled the scene on foot. The victim sustained minor injuries but refused any medical attention.

+ July 21, 10:10 p.m., 3200 block of Garfield Ave.

Two unknown suspects robbed a 54-year-old man and a 49-year-old man at gunpoint. The victims described the first suspect as a Hispanic male in his late-teens or early-20s, 5 feet 6, skinny and armed with a black handgun. The second suspect is a black male, 5 feet 8, skinny with short, curly hair. The loss from the robbery included both of their wallets, credit cards, identification and cash.

Stevens Square

+ July 9, noon–1 p.m., 1700 block of Lasalle Ave.

An unknown suspect robbed and assaulted a 49-year-old man. The victim needed to be treated at Hennepin County Medical Center for injuries he sustained.

July 10, 4:45 a.m., E. 17th St.
and 1st Ave.

Police officers arrested three men, a 20-year-old, a 19-year-old and an 18-year-old, in connection to the attempted theft of a vehicle owned by a 36-year-old man. Officers found the 20-year-old inside the vehicle and the other two suspects right outside. The vehicle’s window had been smashed and the steering column damaged. The 18-year-old was transported to Hennepin County Jail and booked on auto theft charges and the other two suspects were given citations for vehicle tampering and released at the scene.

July 17, 9 a.m.–2 p.m., 1900 block of Clinton Ave.

A 32-year-old man parked his vehicle in front of his apartment during the above time frame. When he returned, he discovered an unknown suspect had stolen the vehicle. The victim did not give anyone permission to use the vehicle and he still has the keys.

West Calhoun

July 14, 4:11–5:30 p.m., 3200 block of W. Lake St.

A 27-year-old woman was at her work and sitting on a couch when she believes she may have dropped her keys in between the couch cushions in a store. She later found her vehicle, which had been parked in the parking lot, missing. The victim believes an unknown suspect had found the keys and stolen the vehicle, using the remote car alarm button to find it.

Whittier

+ July 8, 9:05–9:40 p.m., E. 22nd St. and Nicollet Ave.

Police arrested a 34-year-old man in connection to the robbery of a 34-year-old man. When police searched the suspect, they found a knife in his possession. The suspect was booked at Hennepin County Jail on robbery charges.

+ July 12, 3:30 a.m., W. 24th St. and Harriet Ave.

Two unknown male suspects robbed a 24-year-old man at gunpoint. The victim had been walking down the opposite side of the street when the two suspects began to run across the street pointing a handgun and yelling, “Don’t move.” When the two suspects reached the victim, the suspect with the gun pointed it at the victim’s chest while the other rummaged through the victim’s pockets. The loss from the robbery included an iPhone and $4. Both suspects fled on foot.

+ July 13, 1:20 a.m., 2200 block of Garfield Ave.

Two unknown suspects robbed and assaulted a 23-year-old man and a 22-year-old man. The suspects approached the victims when one of the suspects punched both men and grabbed a bag one of the victims was carrying. Both victims refused any medical attention.

+ July 17, 3:15 a.m., W. 25th St. and Pleasant Ave.

Two unknown suspects robbed a 28-year-old man and a 25-year-old man. The two suspects approached and demanded the victims hand over their wallets and that they give them the PIN numbers to the debit cards. The suspects said that if the PIN were incorrect that they would go to the victims’ homes and kill them. The suspects then fled the scene on foot.

Windom

Between July 18, 8 a.m., and July 20, 1 p.m., 6000 block of Wentworth Ave.

A 60-year-old woman went away for the weekend and when she returned found an unknown suspect(s) had burglarized her home. The suspect(s) entered through an unlocked window and ransacked dresser drawers and rummaged through the refrigerator. The victim believes she may have lost some jewelry during the burglary.

Armatage

+ July 1, 6:45–7 p.m., 5400 block of Penn Ave.

Two juvenile males were leaving a park when a male suspect began following them. One of the victims was talking on his cell phone when the suspect allegedly approached and demanded the phone. The victim refused but then the suspect threatened to hurt him if he didn’t hand it over. The victim complied. Both victims said the suspect goes to school with them but that they do not know his name though they would be able to identify him later.

CARAG

+ June 28, 4–4:25 a.m., W. 31st St. and Hennepin Ave.

Four unknown suspects robbed a 21-year-old woman. The victim told police the suspects had jumped out of a white four-door vehicle and grabbed her then took her wallet and keys. She did not receive any injuries from the robbery.

+ June 28, 10:58 a.m., W. 31st. St. and Aldrich Ave.

Three unknown suspects robbed a 25-year-old man at knifepoint. The victim was walking down the sidewalk when the suspects approached. One of the suspects punched the victim in the stomach and then held a knife to his face while the other two suspects went through his pockets. The suspects then fled the scene on foot. The loss from the robbery was the victim’s white gold diamond wedding band.

+ July 7, 2 a.m., W. 32nd St. and
Aldrich Ave.

Two unknown suspects robbed two 23-year-old men at gunpoint. The victims described the suspects as Somali males between the ages of 20 and 30 years old. The first suspect was approximately 5 feet 10 with a thin build and armed with a black semi-automatic handgun. The second suspect was 6 feet with a thin build and wearing a navy blue shirt and blue jeans.

Cedar-Isles-Dean

June 29, 8:30–10:45 p.m., 3000 block of Ewing Ave.

A 58-year-old man left his vehicle, a green Ford Taurus, parked on the street for several days. The victim returned to where the vehicle had been parked to discover it missing. The victim still has keys to the vehicle and there was no broken glass found in the area where it had been parked.

Fulton

+ June 26, 10:45–11 p.m., W. 52nd St. and Upton Ave.

A juvenile male called police after the unknown driver of a Jeep Cherokee intentionally cut him off while riding his bike. This action caused the victim to veer into the center divider, injuring himself severely. The victim needed to seek medical attention.

Kenny

Between July 4, 1 a.m., and July 6, 4:30 p.m., 5500 block of Aldrich Ave.

A 49-year-old woman and her family were out of town for the weekend when an unknown suspect(s) burglarized her home. The victim found a window screen cut open and then an unlocked and open window was used to gain access. Several items were missing from inside when she returned. The victim had picked up the screen and officers were unable to use it for possible prints.

Kingfield

Between July 5, 8 p.m., and July 6, 8:42 p.m., 4400 block of Pillsbury Ave.

Unidentified suspects burglarized the home of a 27-year-old man. The victim had been out of town at the time of the burglary. A neighbor witnessed several people leaving the home with a banjo, guitar and some fishing poles and get into a dark four door sedan and drive off but thought it was the victim going camping with friends. The victim returned home to find his front door open but nobody inside. Officers were unable to locate any usable evidence at the scene.

Linden Hills

Between July 3, 11:30 a.m., and July 6, 6 p.m., 4000 block of Washburn Ave.

A 37-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man went on vacation for several days and when they returned found an unknown suspect had burglarized their home. Entry had been made through a garage door as pry marks were found along the doorframe. Several items were missing from inside the home. Officers searched for usable evidence but were unable to locate anything.

July 7, 5:41–6:20 p.m., 4000 block of Sheridan Ave.

An unknown suspect(s) burglarized the home of a 54-year-old woman. The victim called police and said that while she was away from the house, someone entered the home and removed several pieces of jewelry.

Lowry Hill East

June 27, 12:30–6:29 a.m., 2600 block of Colfax Ave.

Unknown suspects burglarized the home of a 54-year-old woman and a 53-year-old woman. A floor level window had been used to gain access to the house. Once inside, the suspects grabbed the victims’ keys to their vehicles, went inside the garage, and then stole both vehicles. Officers were able to locate and retrieve both vehicles.

+ July 2, 11:00 p.m., 1000 block of W. 27th St.

Two unknown suspects robbed a 22-year-old woman at gunpoint. The victim described the suspects as being Asian men between the ages of 25 to 30 years old. One of the suspects was approximately 5 feet 6 with a stocky build and was wearing a red bandana over his face. This suspect also threatened the victim with a small black semi-automatic handgun. The second suspect was described as being approximately 5 feet 8 with a thin build. Both suspect fled the robbery in an unknown vehicle.

+ July 3, 1:39 a.m., 2200 block of Lyndale Ave.

An unknown suspect shot a 19-year-old man in the leg with an unidentified type of gun. The victim needed to be transported to Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment.

Lyndale

+ July 3, 11:03 p.m., W. 34th St. and Pleasant Ave.

Three unknown suspects robbed a juvenile male and female at gunpoint before fleeing on foot. The female victim had her purse, keys and cell phone taken and the male victim had his keys and wallet taken. Neither victim received any injuries during the robbery.

Tangletown

July 2, 1–1:31 a.m., 5100 block of Garfield Ave.

An unknown suspect(s) burglarized the home of a 60-year-old woman. It appears the suspect(s) entered through a first floor window before stealing several items.

Whittier

+ June 25, 4:22 a.m., 800 block of W. Lake St.

An unidentified number of unknown suspects assaulted three males, two juveniles and an 18-year-old. The victims had been stabbed and needed to be transported to Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment.

+ June 25, 12:44–1:15 a.m., W. 25th St. and Nicollet Ave.

Police officers arrested two juvenile males in connection to the robbery of a 30-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man. The officers observed the suspects running down an alley right after the robbery took place. The victims told police a gun and a knife had been used during the robbery.

+ July 5, 5:40 a.m., W. 28th St. and Pillsbury Ave.

Two unknown male suspects robbed and assaulted a 60-year-old man. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.

+ July 6, 3:31–4 a.m., W. 28th St. and Grand Ave.

Police officers arrested a 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old man in connection to the robbery and assault of a 30-year-old woman and a 26-year-old woman. The suspects allegedly ran up to the victims, said they had guns and asked if they wanted to die. The 30-year-old woman was then thrown to the ground and had her purse ripped from her arm. Both suspects fled the scene. Officers were able to locate and arrest the males, who matched the victims’ description. Both were transported to Hennepin County Jail.
