FULTON — Minneapolis Public Schools will celebrate National African American Parent Involvement Day by inviting all parents to visit their child’s school Feb. 11.
Lake Harriet Community School was one of several Minneapolis school sites also planning a special event to mark the day.
All Lake Harriet students will watch a performance on diversity by Inver Grove Heights-based CLIMB Theater. Lake Harriet’s 7th and 8th graders also will participate in “Diversity Institute 2008: Race, Privilege and Power in Our Community.”
Lake Harriet parents are invited to have breakfast at the school or observe one of the events. For more information, contact Rebecca Skoler at the lower campus (827-2887) or Mary Jordan at the upper campus (925-1715).
