Park Board elects new president

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board has a new president.

Commissioner-at-large Tom Nordyke, a board member for two years, was elected board president on Jan. 2, replacing Commissioner Jon Olson.

Commissioner-at-large Mary Merrill Anderson was elected vice president of the board to replace Commissioner Tracy Nordstrom.

Don Siggelkow will continue as secretary, and Brian Rice will remain as the board’s general counsel.

The board elected the officers to one-year terms.
