Armatage

+ Nov. 30, 2:27 p.m., W. 60th St. and Xerxes Ave.

Two unknown suspects assaulted a 20-year-old man and a second person. The two suspects assaulted the victims with an aluminum bat while two other suspects sat in a vehicle watching. All suspects fled the scene in the vehicle. Both victims received medical attention at the scene and were released.

East Isles

Between Nov. 28, 10 p.m., and Nov. 29, 8:30 a.m., 2600 block of Irving Ave.

A 47-year-old man parked his vehicle outside of his address overnight. The next morning, the victim discovered someone had stolen the vehicle during the night. The victim found small shards of glass on the street in the area where the vehicle had been parked.

Dec. 3, 10:40 p.m., 2400 block of Hennepin Ave.

A 39-year-old man left his car running with keys in the ignition while he ran into a local gas station to purchase items. While he was inside, an unknown suspect jumped into the vehicle and drove off in it without the victim’s permission. The victim received a citation for open ignition. Another squad car later located the vehicle.

Kingfield

+ Nov. 28, 9:26 p.m., W. 36th St. and Nicollet Ave.

A 42-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk when an unknown suspect approached him. The suspect drew a handgun and pointed it at the victim, demanding he hand over his wallet. The victim complied and handed over his cash and wallet. The suspect then fled the scene.

+ Dec. 1, 1:45 p.m., 4100 block of Pillsbury Ave.

An unknown suspect stole the vehicle of a 44-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman and robbed the couple. The vehicle is described as a maroon 2006 Subaru Forester with a sunroof and roof rack. The couple didn’t need medical attention after the incident.

Lowry Hill East

+ Dec. 2, 9:30 a.m., 2500 block of Bryant Ave.

A 21-year-old woman was walking to her apartment and two unknown male suspects approached her. One of the suspects grabbed the victim’s purse and forcibly removed it from her shoulder before both suspects fled the scene on foot. The victim did not sustain any injuries.

Lyndale

+ Nov. 30, 2:30 a.m., W. Lake St. and Blaisdell Ave.

Police officers observed a 20-year-old man assaulting a 24-year-old woman. The victim had been struggling to get away from the suspect when the police spotted the incident. Officers arrested the suspect and transported him to Hennepin County Jail where he was booked for assault. The victim needed to be transported to Hennepin County Medical Center to receive treatment for the injuries she sustained during the assault.

Stevens Square

+ Dec. 3, 3:05 p.m., 1800 block of Stevens Ave.

A 33-year-old man was standing in an alley behind his apartment when an unknown suspect approached him and asked for a cigarette. Suddenly, the suspect drew out a small black handgun and demanded the victim’s wallet. The victim held out the wallet and the suspect removed the cash but left the wallet clutched in the victim’s hand. The suspect fled the scene on foot and the victim claims he may be able to identify the suspect at a later time.

Whittier

+ Dec. 1, 2:55 a.m., W. Lake St. and Pleasant Ave.

An unknown number of suspects robbed and assaulted a 23-year-old man. The victim needed to be transported to Hennepin County Medical Center to receive treatment for the injuries he sustained during the assault.

East Calhoun
Nov. 25, 4:15–9 a.m., 3300 block of Hennepin Ave.

An unknown suspect stole the vehicle of a 30-year-old man. The vehicle had been parked in the driveway of the victim’s home and, in the morning, the car was missing. The victim has not been able to locate the keys to the vehicle and believes they may have been inside the vehicle at the time of the time of the theft.

Kingfield
+ Nov. 17, 3:45–4 p.m., W. 38th St. and Nicollet Ave.

An unknown suspect robbed a 20-year-old man at gunpoint. The victim had an unidentified number of items stolen from him during the robbery.

Nov. 21, 12:30–6:15 a.m., 4400 block of 1st Ave.
An unknown suspect burglarized the residence of an 80-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman. The suspect entered the rear porch by cutting off the screen and unlocking a security latch. Once inside the porch, the suspect unscrewed and removed the porch light before rearranging some patio furniture and removing various items. Police responding to the burglary were able to recover fingerprints from off the rearranged furniture.

+ Nov. 24, 9:55 a.m., 3600 block of Nicollet Ave.
An unknown suspect assaulted a 46-year-old man. The suspect had been in the victim’s apartment at time of the assault, but the victim claims he did not know the suspect. It is unclear how or why the suspect had been in the victim’s apartment to begin with. The suspect allegedly assaulted the victim with a knife. Officers searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate. The victim refused any medical attention offered by police.

Lyndale
+ Nov. 18, 7:20 p.m., W. 33rd St. and Garfield Ave.

An unknown suspect attempted to rob a 39-year-old woman. The suspect was carrying a baseball bat and approached the victim, who was sitting in her vehicle at the time, and demanded her money. The victim was able to drive away but, as she drove off, the suspect swung the baseball bat and smashed out the rear driver’s side window.

Between Nov. 18, 11 p.m., and Nov. 19, 2:45 a.m., 3100 block of Garfield Ave.
An unknown suspect stole the vehicle of a 22-year-old man. The victim’s roommate last saw the vehicle before the victim discovered it missing. The victim told police that he had left a spare key to the vehicle hanging off the turn signal but was unable to remember if he had locked the doors or not.

Between Nov. 22, 6 p.m., and Nov. 24, 4 p.m., address not available
A 27-year-old man left his vehicle parked in a rear parking lot of his residence. During the above time, an unknown suspect stole the vehicle. It is believed the suspect gained entry to the vehicle by prying out one of the door latches, as a door latch was found left at the scene.

+ Nov. 25, 2–3:30 a.m., W. 33rd St. and Nicollet Ave.
Police were called about a disturbance. Upon arrival, the officers discovered unknown suspects had robbed and assaulted a 32-year-old man. The victim told police he had been robbed of his clothes, shoes and cash. An ambulance needed to transport the victim to Hennepin County Medical Center to receive treatment for injuries sustained during the robbery.

Lynnhurst
Nov. 19, 4:45–5:35 p.m., E. Lake Harriet Pkwy. and E. Minnehaha Pkwy.

An unknown suspect stole the vehicle of a 35-year-old woman. The suspect allegedly broke out a driver-side window in order to gain access to the vehicle. The victim had left her keys in the ignition. Her cell phone had been in the vehicle at the time of the theft and when she contacted the phone company, she was told the suspect had used her phone to make a couple of calls.

Stevens Square
+ Between Nov. 22, 8 p.m., and Nov. 25, 3:30 p.m., address not available

A 26-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man were on vacation for eight days. When they returned, they discovered an unknown suspect asleep in their house. The male victim and suspect fought before the suspect fled the scene on foot. Unidentified items were found to be missing from inside the home. Police squad cars searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

Tangletown
Between Nov. 24, 7 a.m., and Nov. 25, 10 a.m., 4600 block of Pleasant Ave.

A 42-year-old woman had been out of town for an extended period of time and left her vehicle parked on the street. After returning home, the woman went to sleep. The next morning, she discovered an unknown suspect had stolen the vehicle. A neighbor of the victim said he saw the vehicle still parked the previous morning. The victim still has possession of the keys.

Whittier
+ Nov. 13, 7 p.m., 100 block of E. Lake St.

Two unknown male suspects robbed a 47-year-woman. The suspects made off with an unidentified amount of loss from the victim, who received no injuries during robbery.

+ Nov. 16, 3:30-–3:45 a.m., 100 block of E. Lake St.

A 32-year-old man gave an unknown number of people a ride. Suddenly, the man told the people to get out of his vehicle. The suspects became irritated with this and cut the man’s wrist with a box cutter before fleeing the scene on foot. The victim needed to be transported to Hennepin County Medical Center to receive treatment for the injuries he sustained to his wrist.

Windom
Between Nov. 26, 11:30 p.m., and Nov. 27, 12:30 a.m., 5900 block of Nicollet Ave.

A 45-year-old woman parked her vehicle in a grocery store parking lot while she went inside to shop. When she returned, she discovered an unknown suspect had stolen the vehicle while she was inside. The victim still has possession of the keys and store security told police they did not have her car towed.

+ Nov. 2, 10:35 p.m., W. 31st St. and Bryant Ave.
A 48-year-old man attempted to tackle a 22-year-old woman in an effort to steal her purse. A brief struggled ensued until two witnesses intervened and restrained the suspect until police arrived. The suspect was arrested and transported to Hennepin County Jail.

Between Nov. 2, 3 p.m., and Nov. 5, 3 p.m., 3100 block of Fremont Ave.
A 31-year-old man left his vehicle parked on the street in front of his apartment. Sometime over the next couple days, an unknown suspect stole the vehicle. The victim claimed to have found broken glass in the area the vehicle had been parked.

+ Nov. 4, 12:55 a.m., 3200 block of Fremont Ave.
Two people robbed two victims at gunpoint. The victims, a 30-year-old man and 23-year-old woman, were not injured during the robbery. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.

Kingfield
Nov. 2, 11:35 p.m., 4400 block of Nicollet Ave.
Police responding to a suspicious person call found two men sitting in a parked car. When the officer approached and began talking to the men, a strong smell of marijuana was present. The driver of the vehicle, a 23-year-old man, admitted to having a small amount of marijuana in his possession. The officer confiscated the marijuana, gave the suspect a citation and released him at the scene. The car had a dead battery and needed to be left at the scene, parked legally, by the owner.

+ Nov. 3, 9:20 a.m., 3800 block of Nicollet Ave.
Two unidentified suspects assaulted a 35-year-old man. The victim had been visiting a friend when the two suspects, one armed with a baseball bat, allegedly began hitting and punching the victim. An ambulance needed to rush the victim to a local hospital.

Nov. 3, 10:12 p.m., 3800 block of 1st Ave.
Police arrested a 20-year-old man for alleged narcotics violations while responding to a call about shots being fired in an alley. Officers observed two men who matched the description of the shots-fired call. While searching the suspect, officers found six bundles of suspected marijuana in his possession. Officers issued the suspect a citation and released him at the scene.

Linden Hills
Between Nov. 3, 8 p.m., and Nov. 4, 10 a.m., 4600 block of Zenith Ave.
A 35-year-old man parked his vehicle on the street overnight. The next morning, the victim discovered an unknown suspect(s) had stolen the vehicle.

Lowry Hill East
+ Nov. 1, 1–1:30 a.m., W. 22nd St. and Bryant Ave.
Two unknown suspects allegedly robbed a 23-year-old woman. The first suspect came up from behind the victim and restrained her by the neck while the second suspect removed her purse and rummaged through her pockets. The victim did not need to seek medical assistance at the time.

+ Nov. 3, 12:30 a.m., 2000 block of Aldrich Ave.
An unidentified number of suspects robbed and assaulted a 23-year-old man. The suspects allegedly knocked the victim to the ground and began punching and kicking him repeatedly before stealing his chain, cash and wallet. The victim refused any medical attention.

Nov. 3, 1:40 a.m., 1900 block of Lyndale Ave.
Police arrested a 65-year-old man for an unidentified narcotics violation. Officers transported the suspect to Hennepin County Jail.

Lyndale
Oct. 31, 9:45–10:10 a.m., 100 block of W. Lake St.
Officers responded to a forgery in progress at a local business. A 24-year-old man allegedly attempted to purchase an item with a suspicious $100 bill. Police were able to determine the bill was in fact counterfeit and arrested him. Officers also recovered a small amount of an unidentified narcotics from the suspect. The suspect was taken to Hennepin County Jail and booked on a narcotics violation and forgery.

+ Nov. 2, 12:50 a.m., W. 31st St. and Lyndale Ave.
An unknown suspect robbed a 23-year-old woman. The suspect approached the victim from behind and demanded the victim’s purse. The suspect implied he had a weapon, and the victim handed over her purse.

+ Nov. 4, 8 p.m., 3500 block of Nicollet Ave.
An unknown number of suspects approached a 45-year-old man standing in a parking lot. One of the suspects allegedly hit the man in the head with a gun and then demanded his money. The suspects made off with the victim’s wallet. The victim refused any medical attention.

Tangletown
Between Oct. 31, 8:30 p.m., and Nov. 1, 6:30 a.m., 4700 block of Garfield Ave.
A 48-year-old man parked his vehicle on the street overnight. In the morning, the victim discovered an unknown suspect had stolen his vehicle. The car had been broken into several times, and the owner believes the incidents are all related. Police later recovered the vehicle, towed it to impound and the owner was than able to retrieve it.

Whittier
Oct. 31, 9:56 p.m., E. 29th St. and Stevens Ave.
Police stopped a vehicle for allegedly failing to yield when pulling out of a parking spot. The driver, a 27-year-old man, was then arrested and transported to Hennepin County Jail for a narcotics violation.

+ Nov. 5, 3:40 p.m., 100 block of W. 29th St.
Two unknown suspects robbed and assaulted a 22-year-old man at gunpoint. The suspects approached the victim in an alley and demanded money. Victim was then tackled and struck in the head with the handgun. The suspects made off with the victim’s wallet. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects. The victim needed medical assistance for his injuries.
