Oct. 22, 7:20 a.m.–5:30 p.m., 3200 block of Bryant Ave.
An unknown suspect burglarized the residence of a 37-year-old man, stealing a sword collection.
Oct. 22, 8 a.m.–5:30 p.m., 3200 block of Bryant Ave.
An unknown suspect burglarized the residence of a 25-year-old woman. The suspect forced his/her way into the residence by unidentified means and removed the victim’s laptop computer.
Oct. 24, 5 p.m., 3600 block of Colfax Ave.
A 34-year-old man was hauling groceries into his apartment when he turned around in his kitchen to discover an unknown man standing behind him. The unknown man said, "Do you know who I am?" The victim yelled that he didn’t care and told the man to get out of his apartment. The man complied and left the apartment. Later that day, the man looked out his back window to discover his vehicle missing from the back parking lot. He then noticed his keys missing. The victim believes the man who followed him into his apartment stole the vehicle after taking his keys.
Between Oct. 19, 6:30 p.m., and Oct. 20, 2:30 p.m., Knox Ave. and Lagoon Ave.
A 28-year-old woman discovered an unknown suspect had stolen her vehicle during the above time frame. The vehicle had been locked and she has the only set of keys. There are no suspects.
Oct. 23, 6:20 a.m., 2700 block of Humboldt Ave.
A 28-year-old man left his vehicle running in front of his apartment while he ran inside to grab something. He looked out the window while inside the apartment and observed two unknown suspects enter the vehicle and drive off.
Between Oct. 17, 6:30 p.m., and Oct. 7:30 a.m., 5000 block of Russell Ave.
An unknown suspect entered the vehicle of a 54-year-old man and removed several items, including a set of car keys. The suspect than allegedly used the car keys to steal a second vehicle owned by the victim.
Between Oct. 25, 11:30 a.m., and Oct. 26, 8 a.m., 5000 block of Xerxes Ave.
A 28-year-old man parked his vehicle on the street in front of his residence. He later discovered an unknown suspect had stolen the vehicle.
Between Oct. 23, 11 p.m., and Oct. 24, 6:15 a.m., 3500 block of Basswood Rd.
A suspect burglarized the residence of a 53-year-old woman while she and her family were sleeping. The victim’s vehicle was also stolen during the burglary. Later, police officers observed the vehicle being driven and pulled it over. The two suspects inside, the driver, a 22-year-old woman, and passenger, a 26-year-old man, were arrested. The driver was released at the scene and the passenger transported to Hennepin County Jail.
+ Oct. 23, 4:15 p.m., W. 38th St. and Harriet Ave.
An unknown suspect robbed a 46-year-old woman at knifepoint. The total loss from the robbery was $2 in cash and the victim did not sustain any injuries. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
Oct. 23, 9:22 p.m., E. 42 St. and Nicollet Ave.
Officers, responding to a shots-fired call, observed a vehicle matching the description of the suspected vehicle involved in the shooting. After pulling over the vehicle, officers could smell narcotics. The driver, a 35-year-old man, was arrested and transported to Hennepin County Jail for unidentified narcotics violations. One 18-year-old man and a juvenile inside the car were released at the scene to their parents.
Oct. 22, 9:45–11:25 a.m., 4000 block of Linden Hills Blvd.
An unknown suspect burglarized the home of a 51-year-old man and 46-year-old woman. It is unknown how the suspect gained access to be the home before allegedly rummaging through drawers, closets and desks. Many valuable items were left, but the full extent of the loss is not specified. Police were able to retrieve fingerprints off of various items that appeared to have been disturbed by the suspect. Also a camera and knife were left by the suspect at the residence.
Lowry Hill East
Oct. 17, 5 p.m., 3100 block of Girard Ave.
Officers on patrol observed a 20-year-old man who matched the description of a suspect involved in a theft from a motor vehicle. After searching the suspect, the officer discovered an unidentified narcotic. The suspect was transported to Hennepin County Jail and booked on narcotics charges, assault and theft.
Oct. 20, 9 p.m., W. 25th St. and Hennepin Ave.
A 27-year-old man left his vehicle running and unlocked while he ran into a store. The man came back out to find an unknown suspect had stolen the vehicle.
+ Oct. 25, 9:25 a.m., 3100 block of Blaisdell Ave.
An unknown suspect robbed a 46-year-old man. The victim is blind and had been walking down the sidewalk with his white cane at the time of the robbery. The suspect allegedly pushed the victim to the ground and tore open his pockets to get at the victim’s cash and cell phone. A witness to the robbery described the suspect as being a black male between the ages of 17 and 25 and wearing a white sweater. The victim was not injured and refused any medical attention.
Oct. 25, 3–5:30 p.m., 100 block of E. 19th St.
Police executed a narcotics search warrant at an apartment. Two suspects, a 28-year-old woman and a 20-year-old woman, were arrested on narcotics violations and transported to Hennepin County Jail.
+ Oct. 28, 2:11 a.m., E. 18th St. and 1st Ave.
An unknown suspect robbed a 30-year-old man. The loss from the robbery was $10 in cash. The victim described the suspect as being a black male approximately 18 or 19, 5 foot 9, with a muscular build and short black hair. He was clean-shaven and wearing a grey hoodie.
Oct. 25, 6:15 a.m.–5 p.m., 3100 block of Chowen Ave.
An unknown suspect burglarized the residence of a 53-year-old man. The suspect removed the victim’s flat-screen TV from the victim’s apartment. A witness gave police possible suspect information.
Oct. 18, 3:45 p.m., 2600 block of Pleasant Ave.
Police executed a narcotics search warrant at an apartment and arrested a 44-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman. Both suspects were transported to Hennepin County Jail and booked for narcotics violations.
Oct. 20, 7:13 p.m., 2500 block of Nicollet Ave.
Police responded to a call regarding a fight at an apartment. Officers were able to observe in plain sight suspected narcotics and marijuana plants. The officers arrested a 25-year-old man for the alleged narcotics violations.
+Oct. 29, 9:05 p.m., E. 24th St. and 4th Ave.
Police arrested four suspects who allegedly robbed a 34-year-old man. The suspects included a 26-year-old man, a 24-year-old man, a 22-year-old man and a juvenile male. The suspect allegedly pushed the victim to the ground, causing slight injuries, and stole the victim’s cell phone.
